It's been stuck in my head for three days and, for the life of me, I can't remember the name or the band. I don't even know any of the lyrics, really. I watched them on Jimmy Fallon a couple of years ago, and as recent as spring of this year watched a video of them on YouTube.

The band's lead vocalist is a male, I think he's is of asian or polynesian descent. He is a very high tenor for a male.

The lyrics are not quite clear, for me. I can make out the last part of the main chorus as

"... can't ( or won't ) be .....cated."

The last word seems to be four syllables, something "cated". It may be "complicated" but I think it's something else.

That's all the clues I can give you. I know it's not much to go on. i have the tune stuck in my head,but I can't relay a tune into text.

Well, not much to go on there, obviously....BUT, did you try to look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Late_Night_with_Jimmy_Fallon_episodes? Maybe seeing the name of the band will spring a memory, or some deep YouTube digging on familiar acts that have appeared on his show; Good luck!

Indeed I did, but nothing jumped out at me. I guess I could go through them as a process of elimination. TBH... I can't be 100% if was JF or not.

I can't go back through 4,500+ YT views.

Hahahaaaa! No... I'm afraid not. Is Steve Perry still alive? Still, this is a new(er) band and Steve is (was) a white guy.
