Help! I'm invisible.

Post » Sat Aug 18, 2012 2:12 am

No i did not drink an invisibility potion. I was just killing bandits in redorans retreat in my new game, and when i get out, im invisible. I can see my hands in first person but i am completely invisible in third person. Am i the only one experiencing this?

That's bad...

Only thing I can think of, and it's a long shot, but the third person camera can be moved, is it possible that it's been moved to an angle in which you're no longer visible?

Well I was going to edit it but got distracted by your PM :P

OP what Murt said so try selecting the 3rd person and moving the right stick to vary the zoom. (Hold the select 3rd person control while moving the stick)

No i havent even gotten that perk. Im barely level 6. Also i cant seem to interact with anything in third person. I can in first person but enemies cant seem to interact with me. they notice me but they just stand there.

Edit: Ok now they do try and attack but for a while they just stood there. still invisible in 3rd person.

sigh, [censored] bethesda.

That is a wierd bug, can you load a different save and see if you are visible?

If not then I would delete the game data and reinstall and hope the bug isn't in your save data.

I know what you mean and agree

It's just the quickest fix for most things and making sure a bug isn't in the savedata, I'm wearing out the keytops on my laptop needed to type "Try deleting and reinstalling game data and patch data"

Jay if you do that and it autosaves the bug may go into your save and become permanent.

That crap doesnt even work. I did that as soon as i installed the patch a week a go, due to a gamebreaking glitch.

Just because it didn't work in your circumstance does not mean it hasn't fixed a whole load of problems for others, but you do what you want just don't blame anyone else for it mucking up permanently.

Prowler is a Fallout 3 veteran, he's seen that so many bugs and issues are fixed by this that it's almost always worth doing, especially for bugs where you have no earthly idea what could be causing it so have no basis for an actual fix.

Have a cookie for being the first person to notice and comment. You're welcome. Hmm the font size has decreased, need to sort that.

@Murt, yes indeedy but really only for games involving Bethesda, I have never had to do it in any other game and I doubt you have either.

Actually, yes. Well, I didn't but my brother did. A patch for Saints Row 3 broke the Professor Genkis Super Ethical Reality climix missions with major graphics corruption. He had to uninstall and reinstall while declining the patch to complete those missions.

Your old sig was better, you know the one I mean.

Yeah I know but it was depressing even me no matter how accurate it was, I can always add the first poetic line back though.

Edit, done just that.
