I have made a set of Daedric armour including Daedric Armour, helmet,gauntlets, boots etc. I upgraded it to Legendary status on the Workbench but I want to take them to epic status if that status is above Legendary i.e but it says that I do not have the skill for this. What does it mean, what skill do I need ?

(EDIT: I have 90 Smithing (reqd to turn on Daedric Smithing and Heavy armour at 70))

Legendary is the best gear that the game currently offers.

The highest smith level on items is Legendary, after that it's just different levels of Legendary.

How come my Armour value is Lesser than that of a guy who I have seen wearing Epic armor then (http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_883330&feature=iv&src_vid=8415G1NVW5Y&v=5sbrYPYJK2w) , He had 276 Armor for his Daedric armour and 111 for gauntlets and 132 for his helmet and about the same for his boots. Mine is significantly lower . Mine is 160 and in 60's for the rest.

So how can Legendary be above Epic.

A higher smithing skill or exploit.

He had 92 smithing & i have 90 (enough for Daedric), does that matter ? I doubt if he is using an exploit, he wouldn't . He was playing on Xbox 360, i doubt they have exploits for 360.

Plus this guy is only level 29(I am level 32), he says he has not got any thing other than Heavy Armour at 100 and Smithing at 92.

I wonder if they have lowered the Armor rating in thier latest patch to make the game challenging. I did not even have to go thru an Epic phase if it really is a lower level. I think legendary is below epic. If not where can i see armour heirarchy?

He has a higher heavy armor skill

Was his armor enchanted with better enchantments? That's a massive change in cost right there.

his actual skill may have been 90, but if he had items boosting it or potions to do that, then he could achive a much higher tempering.
