So I am a noob when it comes to cyber security and removing viruses, but I know enough to have AVG anti-virus. It picked up on this file
c:\Documents and setting\chris\local settings\temp\nsv5.tmp\bprotect.exe
It said it was a Trojan Horse and I keep telling AVG to get rid of it but every-time I reboot my computer AVG detects it. Can anyone help me get rid of this damned thing?
Anyway, the file is a cached file inside your Internet Explorer cache. Clear out your Internet Explorer cache and stop using Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer on Windows XP is no longer fully patched or maintained.
I also was only half-joking about upgrading to 7 or 8. Windows XP is EOLing in a year's time.

Oh screw you . 8 is [censored], but I have a Latitude D630 and it wont take 7 or even Vista. Im getting a 600 dollar build next summer so then I will get a cool new OS.
I have to use Internet Explorer for a school thing :'(. Trust me I use G-chrome for everything else.
