I'm trying to become a Thane of Winterhold, but I cannot find Quests to do. So far I have:
1.)Found Helm of Winterhold (Did not count?)
2.)Talked Ranmir into paying for drinks at The Frozen Hearth Inn (Counted)
3.)Bought Coral Dragon Claw off Birna at Birna's Oddments (Did not count?)
4.)Bounty Quest (Did not count?)
5.)Quest to find Ranmir's lover, Isabella Rolaine, which bugged out and didn't get added to my Quest Log


I read on Wikis that there are some other quests I can do, but I cannot get access to them:
-Buy Ranmir a drink (No dialogue option appear when clicked at him?)
-Make Ranmir dance(No dialogue option appear when clicked at him?)


Are there anyone who accepts Firewood in Winterhold that will count towards Assisting the people of Winterhold?
Or any quest not involving Stealing/Daedric (The Black Star)? Talking Statues, Dogs, House, etc really freaks me out.
My Speech is only at 36, no where near the point that I can use Invest Perk on Merchants in Winterhold.
Also, Aren't Bounty Quests suppose to count? I turned it in to the Jarl, and forgot to save prior to that, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to turn it in to the Steward, who gave me the quest?

While the College of Winterhold questline doesn't count, there are several College members who offer quests and those do.

Does dropping some items on the ground and let people pick up also work? What kind of cheap items will they wanna pick up?

I've never seen someone mention that dropped weapons could count towards Than activities.
