I am in the Afland dungeoun trying to find the elder scroll and I cant, for the life of me, find it and to make matters worse i cant get out of these stupid ruins! When i came back to where i thought i started, it looks like the way to the exit point is caved in and obstructed (of course it could have always been there and im looking in the wrong place).

Could i please get help with either completing my quest or simply ESCAPING this place? Whichever is easier to explain or for me to do would be appreciated. I know it's probably a pain to explain on a forum if it's complicated, but my frusturation with this has led me to asking for help here. Sometimes these dungeouns just make me mad...

You need to go to the Tower of Mzark, which is in Blackreach. Blackreach can be accessed from Alftand, Mzinchaleft or Raldbthar.

You can't find the quest marker,or find your way using the local map ?
Use the Clairvoyance spell...

Have you gotten the Attunement Sphere from Septimus Signus? In the last room of Alftand, where you fight the Dwarven Centurion, there should be a table you can activate and place the sphere on. This opens up the staircase that takes you to Blackreach. Enter Blackreach and make your way to the Tower of Mzark - the scroll is there.

Blackreach is a huge dungeon area, and you may be there for a while.
