OK, been gaming a few decades and kind of embarassed about this - but I can' make the bow work. I'm a mage and have been carrying a 2H just to make sure I survive a battle. I swap out the 2H for the bow and my character has it on his back with the arrows.

I then hit the E key - now he has the bow in his left hand and when I hit R, an arrow is put on the bow and he brings the bow up. Then I hit the left mouse button for a max pullback on the bowstring. Except, nothing happens. I can fire arrows, but no pullback, so arrows don't go very far, and don't do much damage.

Note: I just realized I have leveled up to level 2, and not looked at that yet, nor assigned points. Don't know if that has something to do with that.

Obviously, I'm doing something out of/not in sequence.

ummm...you take out the bow. you're now holding it empty in your left hand..then click and hold the left mouse button and you pull back. Release. Repeat. you don't need this e, r, and other stuff?

If you press R with the bow out, it will place it on his back again. And then when you press the left mouse button, it will pull it back out. And then when you let go it probably lets off a wimpy arrow.

Just press R once to use the bow, then click and hold the left mouse button to draw the string back, then let go to fire the arrow.
