Here's hoping for Monday

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 7:55 am

Not being able to play skyrim this week has ruined my life. I've been having to fill my time by doing university assignments and going on nights out with mates. It's just not right.

On a serious note, I hope this patch releases on Monday. I know it is out of Beth's hands now but we need to know ASAP so we can know if the product will actually work or legal action needs taking. We certainly won't get any reassurance from the PR.

Not really a useful thread but I felt like posting my thoughts

I hope they get everything sorted out. It svcks to so everyone on these boards threatening Bethesda because Skyrim is an amazing game. I'm really hopeful that the 1.2 patch fixes the framerate issue and allows people to actually play the game.

and im sorry but as a matter of principle i wont be involved in any legal action against Bethesda.

Yeah. If they fix it, I for one will forget all about this and go back to enjoying that magnificent game.

This. I've had 70 hours of problem free gaming, I've gotten more than my money's worth.

I doubt there's that much that we could do anyway.

I can understand that if your copy is fine but a company should not be able to get away with selling a faulty product.

A refund is the least that we should get from retailers if the patch doesn't work.

It feels totally horrible to wait for the patch 1.2. I'm into 40 hours of game-play since and my character is lv 35. Save data is over 14MB and it only started lagging after it hit the 9mb mark and my ps3. I got it on the day the PS3 was released, for that, I think it's pretty amazing it made it after 9MB instead of 6MB.
Only just then I realised the game starts to become unplayable(13MB). I hope the patch comes earlier, like what everyone wants. I wonder why Sony have to take such a long time to go through those scripts. I'm sure checking of scripts created by developers can't possibly take more than 3 days right? I mean, the game developer should be the one to take a longer time. Checking scripts is like checking essays. It can be done pretty quickly.. (I think) Weellll I just donttttt understand. O-well, I guess I have to procrastinate for another 3 days or more...?

Don't be so sure. Apparently it's one of the worst, most boring and repetitive jobs anyone could have.

The programmers job is not boring and repetitive...but time consuming.....but sometimes infinite difficult....

I was an Ex-programmer once......

To understand the code is was matters most....and believe me the final product is the most joy for an programmer guy.....

I was talking about the game testers' job, not the programmers.

Haha imagine this, the patch fails to pass testing requirements and gets sent back to bethesda. Yay! Another month of waiting for patch development ;)

I didn't pay for a demo.
