Story:
Valdis was 7 years old when her parents got murdered by the Thalmor, since they were strong worshippers of Talos.
She got send to an Orphanage in Riften, where she was an outcast, since the other kids were afraid of her. In these years she grew mentally unstable because she had nobody to talk to, especially when her emotions started taking controll of her. Grelod The Kind hated all the kids there, but especially her. Three years later, Valdis could not take the pain anymore and decided to flee from the Orphanage at night.
She wandered for days in the forest untill she met a kind, but mysterious man. He found the young girl sleeping in an abandoned cave. Valdis woke up and started hiding immediatly. The man was very patient and showed her he can be trusted. Eventually she stopped hiding and appeared. The man took the young girl to his camp in the forests of Eastmarch. When Valdis grew older, the man started training her to be a warrior. It is no easy life in the forests, so she had to be ready for any kind of threat. The man became like a father for Valdis because he understood her emotional problems. Valdis spends ten years in the forest meditating and training with him.
When she turned 20, the man got died of a deadly disease. He told her that she must live on her own now. ''I am afraid that my strength is fading'' said the man to Valdis. Valdis was speachless, she wanted to speak. But her emotions were overpowering her. ''How can I live without you? You gave me a new life, where do I need to go?'' Valdis asked as she cried. The man spoke: ''I am not leaving you, I will always be there, not in person, but in your heart.''. He then fell asleep and never woke up. Valdis stood up and made his grave near the tree where they were always meditating. She decorated it with white flowers, and then burried him.
As she left the forests she ran into a group of Stormcloaks, mistaken for a stormcloak. She got arrested.
And that is pretty much where the game begins.
