It's obviously fake, I don't think he actually expects people to believe it's real. I'm sure it qualifies as a fan-made video/trailer.

It is fake. But I doubt it's copyright infrigement.

No one's going to pay attention to it anyway (well... most people), so I don't really care.

Well the beginning is from the Morrowind trailer, so he didn't really put it there, it's just a clip.

And yes, people make fan-made trailers all the time, though they're rarely worth watching.

The only actually bad thing he could have done is Misquoting, and that is just frowned upon, not actually illegal.

At one point you see an Oblivion Doom Stone, taken right out of the game.
Some of the graphics don't look half as real as Oblivion does.

Not to be rude but, what does it matter to you? Youtube is littered with copyright violating content, if this one does too, then it isn't a rare occurrence.

 It's things like that which make the videos almost worth watching, just so you can laugh at their obvious failure. 90% of all the fanmade trailers aren't even creative, are put together shoddily, and propose plot suggestions that are usually Oblivion 2.0 or other ludicrous scenarios.

Youtube is littered with copyright violating content, if this one does too, then it isn't a rare occurrence.

Not to mention that, if there is any law being violated whatsoever, the only punitive action that can be taken is requesting the removal of the video. The anonymity the internet provides, coupled with the implausibility of seeking damages against the huge number of violators, prevents much else.

If there were any believable fake ESV trailers, they would be spoken of all over the internet. There are none such.

Well, seeing as there are Hobbit-Holes in one of the screenshots... Am I the only one that kinda got the idea that this guy is a shill linking to his own youtube video? Maybe I'm just cynical.

I'm going to close this thread, because it's the wrong way to address the subject video.

I don't speak for gamesas in this; I'm just a volunteer moderator. But it's generally been the case that fan-made tributes, so long as they aren't scurrilous or intentionally misleading, fly under the radar.

That said, the moderators don't think the poll choices or the opinions expressed here have been constructive.
