High Elf with Human Body

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 3:17 am

So I just start tinkering with the creation kit, and I thought making a simple npc would be a good place to start. I was able to make an npc (a female high elf) and load her into the world without much trouble. The problem is, her body and face textures do not match. This isn't the infamous "dark face" glitch. I have experienced and taken care of that problem. Upon closer inspection I realized that my npc had a high elf head and a human body. I played with some of the skin tones and switch the six to male, but I still run into the same problem: high elf head, human body. I'm not really sure where to even start to fix this. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

all NPC (playable races), including khajit and argonians have a human body. there is only 1 body mesh per gender for the entire game and all playable races share it

Does it do this in the actual game?

Make sure you bake the mesh with Ctrl-F4 before testing. It may just be a glitch in the CK.

I realize I was pretty vague about what I ment about having a human body. When I load my high elf npc in the creation kit or in-game, he/she has a golden/greenish colored face, head, and neck (typical high elf complexion), but the body is pale (like a nord) from just above the collar bone all the way down to the toes. It's kinda weird.

I have been using ctrl+F4. That took care of the "dark face" glitch, but for some reason it's not taking care of this.

Thank y'all for the replies

Do you use any texture mods? Those can mess with character tints when you create NPCs with the CK. I know face texture replacers will mess with face tints. Plus, a screenshot would help.
