Hjerim still cluttered after clean-up

Post » Sat Aug 04, 2012 1:23 am

Searched out the topic here and checked both wikis, but to no avail. I'm on PC.

I purchased Hjerim and bought all of the upgrades (chose "clean up that murderer's mess" first) and became thane. But the house still has all the old clutter - shards of (?) are all over the floor, cobwebs in the corners, and the old furniture is still there, clipping through the new furniture. I tried the command "df492.disable" but it didn't do anything - perhaps that's specific to the bloodstains (of which there were none anyway).

Anyone know a console command that might clear out the old furnishings, cobwebs, and shards?

Thanks.

You're not using the "Hjerim Expansion" mod by any chance?

I ask because I had much the same problem when I accidentally enabled it before completing Blood on the Ice and buying/decorating the house, which is apparently a big no-no.

No, no mods - just added on Dawnguard, but this issue was pre-existing. Also, it was the first time it ever happened - Hjerim always cleaned-up properly on previous playthroughs, so I'm sure it's just a glitch, but I'd like to clean it up.

Ah. Well, I don't know console commands for that other than selecting and disabling/deleting stuff... which is kinda tricky with cobwebs and small bits of debris. Since I did have a modded Hjerim anyway I just went in the CK and deleted the stuff there and that worked for me.

Wondering now, though, if my problem was the mod itself or the same glitch you're experiencing. Like you I never had any problems with it not cleaning up properly until the most recent character acquired it.
