Hmmm...Possible Silmarillion easter egg?

This may not be the correct place for this topic so if it isn't I apologize and I'm not even sure if anyone can give me official answers anyways. For some backstory however I am a huge Tolkien buff and as chance would have it have been reading the Silmarillion lately for a class, and I know that Skyrim contains several "easter eggs" related either to Tolkien's works or the movie portrayals of them. Of particular interest in this particular instance is one which refers to (for any other Tolkien buffs out there who remember) when king Turgon of Gondolin was instructed to leave behind a sword of a certain type, a helmet and some form or armor so that a prophecy could be fulfilled and he would know the messenger because they would have this gear.

So while I was playing Skyrim I was trudging through North Shriekwind Bastion, killing the Volkihar's that have taken the place up as their residence and happily going through their worldly possessions when I noticed something odd. A sword, a helmet and a pair of armored boots sitting in an illuminated hallway to the side, leaning against the stone. It may have only struck me at first because I had recently read the passages from the book, but as I examined it closer it struck me as even stranger because there were no other items of the like on the floor anywhere and even if it were random loot, why would it be positioned against the wall in a well lit area? To check I've loaded the game several more times and on a couple different saves and it's still there, so now my curiosity is itching and I feel like I just have to ask here where someone else may have some insight or knowledge and could answer. Here's a picture as well. http://i47.tinypic.com/2ztgh0j.jpg

Any insight would be appreciated or if you've found more of the like! I looked at the Wiki pages for easter eggs and saw some others and some LOTR ones but I think this would make the first Silmarillion one discovered.

Or who knows I may have just found a nice enchanted iron greatsword and some armor because Akatosh knew those pesky vamps would be around.

Now, off to go read some more of Unfinished Tales :teehee:
