Lol. I got homefront too. Finished the campaign that day, played one multiplayer match, stuck it in the draw, then took it to game, traded it in and got crysis for £5.

Crysis for me any day of the week, with or without faults.

Give it time mate, I'm sure they will patch it soon. Just try not to complain like everyone else is.

We already have the thread with a list of things to fix, so everybody complaining all the time ain't going to make an ounce of difference! Lol

Lol no I wasn't saying you were complaining, I'm just talking about the way others have been going on. Like things can be sorted with the flick of a switch.

That's what I've been doing, I've gone back on to a season mode on NHL lol

lol i have been playing Dragon Age 2 for the past three days lol

Why?!

Shift 2, Dragon Age 2, Dead Space, Fight Night Champion and Crysis are 5 of the 6 big launches this year and theyre all churned out by EA with a sell now fix later attitude. Not to mention the fact Crysis has only really been getting any kind of real announcement and apologies from Crytek only for PC users.

I have taken the issue to trading standards, the customer service from Crytek and EA here has been terrible and the products being released by EA this year are not matching anywhere near a working standard.

http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=19122

If you want to help get something done it really doesnt take long and if enough people do it then they will be pushed to follow trading standards in future.

Oh ok then. It was still bad. You go in a dungeon one place and its exactly the same as any other one! I mean you go in and come out in a different area but it actually is the same dungeon but with a different quest. I felt like I was playing the game equivalent of when they run in The Flintstones for about 2 miles in their house with the background on loop.

There were also numerous times where I was fighting and randomly I would get trapped under the map and have to reload the game and go through the whole dungeon again.

Crysis is the last straw for me. Its time to get something done after numerous releases of "oh give them a month to fix it" NO I dont buy a brand new car to give the manufacturer a month to fix the engine. It works when it is bought or I get my money back. I did this today with this game, having spoken to consumer direct who report to trading standards.

Homefront is enjoyable. It would be a good gift, I wouldn't buy it for myself though.

Oh so your not a gunner or what - are you still playing Spyro.
Before we go saying less improtant comments about other games on the Crysis forum we should first reflect upon what good has come in the form of FPS game engines.
Hence, its not the game graphics or insult to injury interactive encounters, but the engine that runs all your data and the hub of ingame control.
The brass tacs of the matter is that most of you are too young to really give a damn about the design of these games and how far they have come in the last 2 to 3 years. Oh and if you think that there is a limit to these engines and what can be developed, you really need to get a grip of reality and start reading about breakthroughs instead of speaking through your nose.
Its only been in the past year that graphic quality has made an ugly mess of rendering and it just slows doen the quality of play. When engines get loaded up with lots of objects and detail, theres a loss to other aspects of the game quality - as in Homefront, TDU2, Crysis2 and even DaragonAge2.
If you are going to comment about a game - it should be to provide some insightful knowledge about the game that you have palyed and experienced than playing prepubecent blog shorttalk games with your ego's.

Although speaking about fps engines, what the hell was quantum of solace?! It used the CoD engine to make a completely **** game! Lol ;)

15 years ago I was playing games which did not exceed the limits of what they were truly capable of. There was not a sell now fix later attitude from the games industry and frankly I am sick of being sold unfinished games over the last 3 or 4 years.

Before you start accusing people of being egotistical pre pubascent blogsters learn the facts. You clearly havnt played Dragon Age 2 as you said it is over loaded with objects and detail. Its an incredibly dated game which still has many flaws and the graphics arent particularly the most spectacular around. In fact it is a totally bland looking game where not a lot of effort seems to have been put into graphics or fixing game breaking issues in the gameplay.

There are other games which are "overloaded with graphical detail" and work perfectly fine. It has nothing to do with that. The flaws in Crysis 2 are down to negligent and rushed programming with failure to address key issues just to try and make a little bit of lighting prettier to look at. The core gamplay is what is important and on these games mentioned they are totally below even a basic standard to the point where the game is effectively unplayable.

Having seen the graphics in this game and looking at the graphics of the Frostbite engine frankly Im not that impressed with the Cryengine. The graphics are equal at best and the actual gameplay of Battlefields frostbite engine worked from day 1 (all they had to do was spend the launch weekend piling up loads more servers because they sold so many copies but in essence the core of the game actually worked.)

I can honestly say that Homefront was the worst online experience I have ever had. The rare occasion I actually made it into a match invariably it ended up crashing, spending over an hour just to get into a MP game is not my idea of fun at all.

As regards the OP's issues, I have had issues with EA titles in the past and personally feel that certain games just get affected and for some reason will not work on your connection, I have had major problems with Fifa 10 and 11 for instance!!!!!!!!!!

Yet Crysis 2 works absolutely brilliant for me and rarely do I get any lag or disconnections at all.

I'll actually be playing switching between Reach and Homefront for my multiplayer kicks and working on my stack of unfinished single player games until they get this disaster of a game fixed. Say what you might about Homefront's campaign, but online it's leaps and bounds more enjoyable than Crysis in it's current state. For instance, when you shoot people they die. Good start.

The only problem I ever had with Homefront was the party system on day one. I couldn't join with friends, but individually we could get into games. They fixed that day two. No problems afterward.

Homefront is so good, THQ's stocks dropped 20% on release day and dropped the price by $10 in a week. Have fun!

homefront and crysis 2 are two cp,pletely different games. why try to even compare them? both games multiplayer is amazing in my opinion, just different. both very original and a nice change of pace from call of duty, god i got so bored with that game. with each cod release the game gets more and more dumbed down. pretty soon youll be able to prestige once every kill you get.

Crysis 2 is my favorite FPS out there right now because of its change in pace compared to Galo and Black Cocks its Mp is the best I have ever played.

One of the main reasons I like it though is I can kill or evade enemy's when i am out numbered and I don't have to rely on the guy who was singing Lady Gagy in the lobby, that right there lady's and gentlemen makes me want to give my money and pokemons to Crytek

Was not a fan of Bad Company 1 so I didn't bother with 2. Battlefield 3 looks amazing, but I have to keep reminding myself it's another EA published game and shake my head.

Bad Company 1 was awful but number 2 the scale and the balancing and pace was perfect. It was nothing like number 1 at all. It is another EA game yes which kind of svcks as I dont want to give them money but DICE are a brilliant company and they address their player base on all platforms on the in game menu, forums and blog with bug update news and server fixes balancing updates right from the start. I dont mind so much when you can tell the devs clearly respect all players no matter what platform theyre on and inform us if there is something wrong. Also their offline mode worked perfectly from the start which is important as some people playing offline wont receive updates.
