Homes away from Homes on the 360

One of the things I liked to do in Oblivion, Fallout&NV, was to find suitable HAFHs; I find I can sorta do that in Skyrim. The thing is, I never really liked buying homes inside towns/cities; I prefer caves, shacks, etc. that have permanent storage, and maybe other goodies that would useful, or at least a homey feel to it.
I'm saddened that in Skyrim, you can't really decorate your city homes, or your HAFHs, due to that grab/placement glitch, that to date hasn't been fixed. I wish we could gyroscopically grab/move items like in Oblivion and Fallout, and when you put it down, there was a 98% chance that when you returned, it would be where you left it.
My questions are thus:

1. Does anyone know if Beth' intends on fixing these ' placement' glitches?
2. Where have you found, in your opinions, good home away from homes, in Skyrim?

The safe 'homes' outside cities aren't that cool... They're all filled with human remains, blood. Maybe Broken Oar Grotto, but it's too big for my tastes.

Thanx. Any word on the glitch fixes?

Darklight Tower and... Honeyside I think it's called? The one place from the thieves guild. Those are good permanent housing.

This concept was actually foreign to me until recently, when a friend mentioned taking over a fort and making it her home. At first I was like "wow that's really dumb wont everything respawn anyway," then she pointed out the respawn counter is reset every time you go in (and I suppose she is more prudent than I am about visiting her home often), but then I thought it sounded pretty neat and looked into non-respawning dungeons.

Notably, NO coffin in the game resets last I checked, even if it's in a respawning dungeon, so any place with a coffin has safe storage (with the exception of coffins in the Hall of the Dead that become filled with human remains if someone dies), albeit you can't decorate.

Not every item is affected by the glitch you mentioned, but many are. For those many, there is a workaround listed on UESP:
-(PC) Workaround: 1) Exit the home into the street. 2) Quicksave and quickload the game while outside 3) Go back inside. Any items you dropped before going outside will be safe to move and position. This workaround may work on other platforms in addition to the PC.
-(XB) Workaround: Drop the desired item down in the house. Leave the house, come back, and move it{even negligible movement should suffice). Leave one final time, then come back and put the item where you wish: the next time (and all other times) you come back, the item will be where you put it. This can be done with multiple items at a time. NOTE: If you pick the item up after you have completed the process, you will have to redo the whole thing.
