What do you steal?

I play a good karma'd character (hardcoe) and yet I still steal 3 things,

1- Skill books
2- Caps
3- Certain types of ammo

So I guess my good character has a couple of issues, but then again don't we all.

I rarely steal anything but something about Wonderglue and Teddy Bears I cannot resist. I have no idea why...

I steal everything valuable and sometimes kill random people, still i'm considered a good guy in the game.

I play hardcoe mode, so I have no problem with breaking into peoples houses and stealing their food, their ammo, their drinks, practically anything of value.

I consider myself good, but hey it's the Wasteland, you have to survive, so I steal food, water, guns and ammo when I need it.

Not mention, the karma hit for stealing is so minute that you can still be an angel while stealing everything in sight. But as far RPing I try to keep it to necessities.

Just about everything, mainly guns, ammo, and stimpacks. I've stolen so much its caused my character to be nuetral in karma

Well I was an Energy Weapons character last time and I went to Silver Rush, and grabbed the weapon on the counter with the "drag" function.
Dragged them to the corner, went stealth, (AGI 1 Sneak 7) and stole them.
And boom, I had half-decent weapons. (Obsidian, in a patch you should really add another two guards to stand in the corners and maybe light up the room a little more. Was way too easy to steal.

Or make it like in Oblivion, where dragging an owned item was considered a crime :lmao: I lifted a (worthless) cup back on the table in Tiber Septim Hotel and a guard bursts trough the door: "Stop right there criminal scum!" :blink:

On my current playthrough, I'm playing a melee-oriented sociopath (check sig for build)

So, I steal everything.

Before that I only stole quest-essential stuff.

Yeah, my character started a bit rough but they were trying to reform and it was actually going really well until they went in to the Silver Rush . . . and suddenly almost everything not nailed down had been stolen.

I steal skillbooks (and magazines), and any components required to build the Weapon Repair Kits (Duct Tape, Scrap Metal/Electronics, Wonderglue, Wrench). Thats only if its "Red".

If its NOT "red", I'll take anything not nailed down that has any value to me.

I did the same. But later I got bored and set traps with the very plasma mines i stole, pick pocketed live plasma grenades to the two main people there while the guards all ran to their death in my traps of deadly plasma. It was just amazing the room looks like a good 4th of july if the only color firework being used was green lol. I was still very good Karma and rep with freeside

Permanent skill books
Blue Star caps (haven't seen one yet that would count as stealing)
Teddy bears
Toy cars

Other than that I leave it alone. I really wanted to steal the .308 ammo in the prison, but I have an issue being knocked for stealing when I take something from people that previously stolen it. I feel I should get good karma because I am buddies with the people that had it originally stolen.

If no one can see me, I steal whatever i find useful. Caps (of course) and ammo, and a actually stole all the stuff I need to make a repair kit, but I can't craft it yet because I'm only 40 in repair, and I need to be 50 :/

With my current character, I do have to fight the urge to steal, but I'm doing well so far. I haven't stolen anything from anyone aside from the Legion... I just like ransacking their camps.
