Hooded Robes should have extra enchant slots

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 6:04 pm

Considering that there are no hoods to match what few unenchanted robes there are (blue, black, monk, college, and vaermina), hooded robes are the only way to achieve the classic "hooded wizard" look without wearing the standard pre-enchanted skill robes set. Unfortunately, the appeal of hooded robes is sullied by the fact that they take away one (potentially two) enchanting slots.

Now I'm no "powergamer" who obsesses over maxing everything out, but this is still bothering me. The cost of Destruction is stupidly high, and having that extra slot (or two) is far more important to a mage than any other class.

In short: either give hooded robes enchanting slots of two items, or make some matching hoods.

I was under the impression you could wear circlets under the hood? Could be wrong, but it's worth looking into.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? I tried it before, but it didn't work.

Hrmm.. Lame. I have unfortunately not extensively played as a magic-wielding character, and what I have played I don't quite remember what I used. I *THINK* my mage-class uses the arch-mage robes, which are hooded, and one of the dragon-priest masks. From what I remember, you aren't supposed to be able to equip both, but it worked somehow....despite my face becoming transparent every now and then.

Some work, some don't. Hooded Mythic Dawn robes take a circlet, but hooded monk robes or thalmor robes won't.

All hooded robes should just accept circlets

Agreed, I would like to use them but not at the expense of a head piece.
