Hope yet for the "Betrayed"?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 9:46 pm

Gelenbar talked about how the calmer have gotten a lot smarter over the years, perhaps Bethesda is setting up a bigger role for the Falmer? Possible playable character? Maybe a storyline?

Thoughts? Ideas? Opinions?

Gelebor did mention that there was hope for them to return to Auri-El's teachings, foreshadowing?

Yea, he also mentioned that they may find a common language amongst them some day. I think Bethesda is setting something up.

They'll never look like snow elves again, but in a couple hundred years TES time they should be intelligent enough to be playable.

If anything there can always be something written in the lore and used as back story for future Elder Scrolls games. But seeing more Snow Elves/Falmer would be nice. But I'm hoping for Dwemer to return truthfully.

Yea, I don't know how they'll regain their eyesight back though? Not unless Auri-El gives it back? We know they are still capable of magic, fighting, forgeing, alchemy, and I'm sure enchanting. So all their really lacking is a language and eyesight right?

The Falmer technically have a language tho it probably isn't used by them anymore.

I only want the Dwemer to come back so I can put them in the ground again. I didn't like finding out what happened to the Snow Elves by the hands of the Dwemer.

Technically yes, but I think they forgot it after the years of transforming. Either they have to recover the old one or make a new one.

Eyesight, language, and a minor problem with the desire to commit mass murder. The Dwemer reduced them to blind, primitive, hate-mongers. Cavemen could make tools, so them doing stuff like that doesnt really show all that much intelligence. They need to develop into a society from the ground up and that takes a long long time.

After learning a bit more about Gelenbor (from what I can find[ps3 player]), I really do hope the Falmer have a future in the next TES.

In reality they probably won't. I think if anything the Falmer will continue to evolve and maybe MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE one day hundreds and hundreds of years from Skyrim they'll be Snow Elves again, or something very similar.

Of course speaking that the next TES will be forward in time and not back.

I hope in the next TES we can play something similar to the snow elf race, but we really need another race to play.

^ It's not a leak. Also it does seem like it's foreshadowing when he talks about that they may go back to return to Auri-El's teachings. Plus he also said something about that they may go back to the Dwemers if there is any still alive. Sooo in short it's possible there might be a DLC explaining more of the Snow Elfs and the Dwemer.

I doubt they'll ever be playable, but maybe in some future dlc, or more likely a future game, the falmer can civilize once again. I doubt it would happen during the time of skyrim though, because how would they go from ferocious monsters to being able to speak in a few short years?

From what I got with my conversation with Gelebor is that the "betrayed" will never be able to become Snow elves again, but at the same time they are gaining more intelligence and are slowly evolving into something new. kind of like what happen to the Orsimer after Malacath was eaten.

The loading screens forshadow a falmer invasion, instead of closing oblivion gates we'll have to collapse falmer caves.

He also said that if they would regain intelligence (I doubt they'd regain their previous body form), it'd take a really, really long time, since he's only seen a little bit of improvement over a few centuries.

It's more likely that'd we'd fine pockets of survivor population (which he also said there'd likely be). Maybe we can search for them and send them to the Forgotten Vale to rebuild and repopulate.
