Hoping for epic

I see a lot of skepticism around the internet regarding this game but I must confess I am pulling for it. I want this game to work. Badly. I think translating Elder Scrolls to the online arena will be difficult but done well could fix the two things I have always missed in TES. I have always wanted to show people something I found or did, and specifically in Skyrim I always wished my companion was smarter.

Think about it, how many times when you were roaming Tamriel did you come across a site, a mob, a journal article, or a perfectly timed random event and wish you could share it with a friend? For me, at least a thousand. While I can always talk a friend to the right spot on one of their own characters, those random events never come back. They add so much color to the world and make the world a living place in many ways, but they are always enjoyed alone. What I am reading write now about TESO implies they are looking to create those random opportunities possible online and that is awesome. I truly look forward to it.

As for the smarter companion piece, isn't that what multiplayer is all about? How many players have replayed an Elder Scrolls game just so you could experience the game with a different archtype? I know I have. I look forward to having them all together in one party. I look forward to the diversity partner opportunities and even the doubling down opportunities. By doubling down I mean things like a Dark Brotherhood mission that requires two assassins to complete.

I recognize some concessions have to be made, and some of them have me a little skeptical, but overall I am pulling for this game and hope it delivers.
