Horrible amount of glitches that stop me from continuing que

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:55 pm

First, major one that happened was I went and talked to Gerder and there was no actual option to talk about the main quest. Meaning I couldn't continue, so I started again and it's fine. But this happens A LOT in other quests, for example in Whiterun there's a quest where you have to find a redguard woman, I found her and talked to her and she's like "i don't know what you're talking about". But that's it, that's all she says and the objective is still "find the redguard woman". i've found her NOW TELL ME WHAT TO DO NEXT. I have a feeling there are plenty of other glitches that stop you from doing quests and it's really annoying! Graphic glitches are funny and not game ending. THIS NEEDS TO BE SORTED out of all the things wrong with the game this must be of utmost importance! Please patch this quick it's painful I want to quest! :"(

I'm surprised that anybody on here can even moan about the amount of glitches. Bethesda and glitches are synonymous, across all of their games. It's something that you learn to expect from them. The last game I bought from them was Fallout 3 and I remember the problems that had. Oblivion before that had even worse ones! I totally avoided New Vegas even though it wasn't developed by them. I guess I let my guard down when I purchased SKYRIM. I won't be fooled again!

I unfortunately have to agree that there's too much glitching of a major amount. Among them were an inability to sprint in 1st person, an entire hillside becoming a pit into the void under the gameworld and, most of all, being attacked by whole towns for no reason whatsoever, which breaks at least three quests I have at the moment because I can't talk to anyone without being killed (assuming they LET me talk to them).

I love the game otherwise but am really disappointed it shipped with more than small bugs; I've never seen a glitch like the latter one in any other game.

Dude, you may have done something wrong? Wait 2 days (in game waiting) and go back then see if they attack you.

Seems like all games are like that nowadays. I just restart the console when I encounter glitches like that on other games and it usually solves the problem.

I haven't played my copy yet due to bad planning ahead on my part, but today I shall have my xbox back home and shall be playing Skyrim. Hopefully I encounter little to no glitches that people seem to talk about.

Bethesda's QA testing team must be an absolute joke, if there is one. I think they just ship the game and let the community tell them about bugs and then fix them which is a disgusting practice, these bugs have killed all my hype for Skyrim and i will never be buying a Bethesda game on release day again. I have just encountered a bug that in Southfringe Snactum a woman you save cannot exit the dungeon, she just stands at the exit like an idiot, i have reloaded 4 times and it is the same everytime. A normal playthrough would have picked this up from a QA tester. It is appalling Bethesda.

I have had several quest related bugs too, similar to yours with the redguard woman. All have been resolved by just walking in and out of the room/area with loadscreen a few times. So it is a bit annoying and takes some time to get around, but not gamebreaking for me.
