Horrible freezing and texture failure

Post » Wed Sep 05, 2012 7:30 pm

I am starting to think i am the only person who is having this issue. lately i have seen thats others freezing has happened on occasion but from my very own xbox the textures are failing more and more like my game itself is becoming corrupt. it used to freeze maybe once every two hours and only on loading screens, after this it would freeze every hour and even durring gameplay. i even noticed things being ghost blue like in the game though this was rare at best. then i noticed the common dragon texture failure. thje ghost blue texture failure had continued to the point where it overlaped slaughterfish mount plagues with this eerie blue/purple color and even took over most of the hourse drawn carriages, now i can barely get two minutes in without freezing... my game is barely scratched at all... is this helping to anyione else? if so please help

I have not encountered freezing but I have noticed some texture issues myself. So i came to the conclusion that somehow the xbox is putting a lot of pressure onto the disc or the system even when its installed. This might be 98% wrong though. So just ignore the pressure thing.

Anyway if you haven't try installing the game. If that doesn't work go to the skyrim memory and delete the update and re download it. Then if that doesn't work then you probably got a bad copy because getting a messed up copy is possible. So if it is a bad copy take it back and get a new copy but if you can't take it back. You could always try to trade it in. Then what ever money you get back use it to buy Microsoftpoints for the on demand version that way you don't have to worry about the disc getting messed up or try buying another copy with the money you get for trading it in.

Because all those Microsoft Xbox Live patches eat up memory on your harddrive also.

I would suggest trying to buy a bigger hard drive and see if that helps. If you have the old xbox then you can buy a cheap 20gb hard drive for 20 dollars or a 60gb hard drive for 30 dollars from gamestop. If its for the new one you are going to spend 60-120 dollars on a new hard drive. Also make sure its not the system bacause it could also be the laser lens to. If another game is having a bunch of graphical issues or won't load properly then its the laser lens but if its just skyrim. Then its either the hard drive or like I said it could be a bad copy. A bad copy could also look brand new but the data on the disc somehow got messed up while it was being copied to the disc.

Edit: made a mistake in a sentence and then for the laser lens part it happened to me 9 months ago had to buy a whole brand new xbox because the warranty expired.
