Host glitchbug!

Post » Mon May 06, 2013 12:48 am

For everyone who doesn′t already know, there′s a glitch considering Playernumbers when hosting.
As some may have noticed that though you got a good connection (16mbits down/1Mbit up e.g.) u can′t host more than 2 or 4 ppl. especially Europeans got the problem i guess.
In every other XBL game you can host 8 people with 1Mbit Upload and it runs well for people from your continent.

But PII Studios was clever enough to include a bug so we can still have some Fun with this Game

Simply go to the System Link Screen and setup your game as you like in the settings screen where you choose map, Frags, Time etc.
Set up the Number of player as high as you think your connection can take from your experience in other games.

But as i mentioned, even on green Server with too many people its pretty laggy. I guess 8-10 players is the max you should go for to ensure the other players a good match too.

@ the dev Team: look @ other topics in this Forum from XBL Community and Awez0me, they state every major bug we could find.
We founded the community to speak with one voice, improve the game and playing quake of course.

Please if u guys ever make a patch DON′T patch this or just leave out the connection limit at all.
Because there are as good as no servers available as it is anyway and the usual Quakeplayer is smart enough to read a Pingmeter consisting of 4 Bars.

edit For the lazy people:

The playernumber you had set still remains saved somehow, eve if it says 2 player, if you start the match it remains on your last setting, 6 or 8 players for example, so you don′′t have to switch the menu screen every time you make a new game actually as long as you dont want to change the actual player number. If so you need to go back to system link an do it like before look at 1st post in this thread.
