I would like to add an animated avatar and with the people on here that have one, how do you go about doing it? Tiny Pic doesn't seem to work.

I'd suggest downloading a GIF to your computer and then uploading it from there, rather than using a URL.

Also, it seems to work best if they're only about 90pixels wide (or maybe a bit higher). If you upload something that's too large/bigger than allowed max, something about the forum resizing process seems to freeze them/they don't work.

Despite my long experience with avatar creating, making .gifs are a PAIN IN THE ASS. At least in the way I wanted to make them >.<

If you have any further troubles you can always try sending me the .gif you'd like to use as your avatar and I just might be able to fix it up for you so that you can use it on these forums.

Making gif avatars/signatures is remarkably easy, just take the time to download an image editor like GIMP and learn how to layer images.

Yeah 90 pixels. If it's even 1 pixel bigger than that then the animation won't work.

Yeah, GIMP is pretty simple to use to make custom animated gifs.
