Anyway, my problem concerns adding a working scabbard to a custom weapon. I have the sword and the scabbard both done and ready. The big problem arises when I unsheathe weapon - the scabbard stays on blade. And that of course looks incredibly stupid.
The biggest question for me is (and I hope there are enough 3D masters lurking around to read this) how do I rig the scabbard to the hip/back? I'm using 3dsmax and nifskope, but even tips concerning blender would be useful. I've been looking for somekind of reference to the character skeleton in the nif structure, but I haven't found any clue how to link the nodes to the character's skeleton.
