How are people level 25+ 40 hours in?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 8:45 pm

Are people fast traveling all over the place or what? I refuse to fast travel and I am level 17. I dont wander too much or go off quests.

I would feel like I burned through the game and ruined it if I were past level 30 at this point, 40 hours in.

You answered your question with your own question :P
You do not fast travel so you run around doing nothing for a quite a while Id guess.

Forgot about the stones.

Training seems like a waste to me, since the enemies get stronger too, and its always an even fight. Seems like throwing gold down the outhouse.

You answered my question - kids with ADD.

If exploring and enjoying the world is "doing nothing" then why didnt they just make it a linear adventure game with a map 50x smaller? ;)

Some people like to blast through the game quickly, but that's the beauty of this game... You can play it how you want :)

A lot of people are in a rush. For what I have no idea. I often wonder if a lot of people on these boards watch movies with their DVD or DVR player in fast forward as well.

Pardon? How often we die has nothing to do with how many hours we've played Skyrim.

I'm like 70+ into the game and I'm only like lvl 28. I like taking my time no need to rush and I do enjoy walking around seeing everything. I had Oblivion forever and still found stuff I never seen before so I want it out of this game also. However I only use FT to go to town to sell stuff then FT back to the closes spot I FT from.

I was level 33, picked the game up at midnight release. I was barely even scratching the surface in the main quest, I hadn't even gone up the 7000 steps yet. All I did was side quests and adventuring... I just played a lot :)

But since my PS3 blew up and I lost all of that, I'm happily restarting with a new character, new race, and new template. Nothing wrong with the one that I picked first, but why not play something else if I have to reroll anyways? Started a game last night and up to level 9. I can't help leveling, I use tons of different skills heh. One thing I'm doing differently though is that I'm saving choosing perks for a little bit until I'm sure which template I want.

What does fast traveling have to do with what level you are? If you're going to a location, fighting 1 or 2 enemies on the way isn't that significant of a difference from fast traveling there.

Everything. Actually exploring is going to add a lot more hours. Just fast travelling to the next location, beating things up then fast travelling to the next is going to make you level a lot faster....

Training is useful so you can get to the needed skill level for perks.

It took me 50 hours to reach level 25+ on adept/expert level. Dunno what others do, probably massing their levels with smithing, enchanting and alchemy, but I gained nearly all my levels through heavy armour and two handed, and a small part destruction, smithing and lockpicking.

I haven't played that much and I'm level 27. Mostly cause I was smithing and enchanting to make money and explored a bit.

How does expert count as an "easy cake" difficulty if its one of two considered harder than "normal"?

even the stats (5 difficulties in ascending order from easy to hard), number 4 is still considered hard...
