How bad is your gaming backlog?

Post » Thu Oct 04, 2012 2:01 am

Mine is pretty bad...
Off the top o' my head,
Purchased games that I have not played or barely played for like 10 minutes:
-Medieval 2: Total War
-Shogun 2: Total War
-Far Cry 2
-Battlefield 3
-Hitman: Blood Money
-Company of Heroes
-Men of War
-Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy
-Legend of Grimrock
-Eschalon: Book 2
- HPS Squad Battles: Advance of the Reich
- Panzer Corps
- Stalker series
- The Binding of Issac
- Swat 4
-Dear Esther
-Just Cause 2
- Shadowgrounds: Survivor
-Wargame: European Escalation
-Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

I think that's most of them. I'm just having trouble finding the time lately, but some of these steam deals are just too good. I'll get around to it eventually lol...

Oh boy, so many. Even just the games I've got going on now are almost too numerous to list - Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Fallout, Fallout New Vegas, Morrowind, Dragon Age: Origins, replaying Mafia 2, BioShock and Batman Arkham City...not to mention all the games I have backed up that I've barely touched.

It's getting quite ridiculous. I've outright banned myself from buying any new games until I've played the ones I've got! I did actually get 101 minues into Deux Ex: Human Revolution the other day - I dread to think how long I've had that one.

I think to 2001 the year not amount

I do remember FFVII is somewhere around the waterfall last I played was around 1999~2001
I remember finally defeating the sisters in Xenogears on top of the tower back in 2001ish i think I am in cabin still

Lots of games still in the wrapper except for PC games which I usually play, easier to click an icon to launch a game than grab a disc to insert

Well to be fair, almost all of them I got dirt cheap at $2-10 through sales. A couple were actually given to me. I didn't pay full price for any of those lol, I pretty much never pay full price for any game unless I'm REALLY hyped (Skyrim was the most recent).

About the only game I didn't get my money's worth from was Battlefield 3, but that was primarily because they made the game unplayable two days after I bought it with that "rent-a-server" nonsense.

Actually, I don't have a gaming backlog. I'm very fussy about which games I purchase because I want to complete them all. For the past two years all I've played is the following - Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, Mass Effect 2 and 3, and Skyrim. And completed all of them.

My current projects are, the Fallout 3 Platinum trophy, and finishing ME3 when I can tear myself away from the online multiplayer to actually finish the main story.

Other than that, I picked up Borderlands 1 very cheaply online the other day, just to see if I Iiked it. Looks fantastic on my PC, so might work on that one for a bit, and maybe move to the second one in time.

But time is an issue nowadays, I'm wary of starting something I can't finish.

Back when I was a kid without a job I had very limited budget to spend on games, so I replayed every single one I owned until I knew it inside out. Now that I can easily buy most games I'm interested in, I haven't even touched most of them because there's so many. The worst, I think, is Fallout 3. I've had it since December, but all I did is launch it to see if it works, then quit. Had it for 9 months and spent 10 minutes in the game. Something went terribly wrong...

I have quite a few. I'm actually in the middle of playing bunch but I have no time and any spare time I do have I'm either playing Borderlands 2 or Torchlight 2.

I'm not sure I'll ever have time to play all the games I've purchased. I could not buy a game for a few years and I'd still always have a new game to play.

Never quite got round to playing Deus Ex Human Revolution that I have, and I've borrowed Mass Effect from somebody.

I haven't bought a game for a long time, I feel really bad about spending £20-40 on a game now, it's just too much.

In before Tyraa.

It's getting better, I haven't bought much lately but I replay old games quite a lot. I'm doing KOTOR+KOTOR 2 again just because of the KOTOR 2 restored content mod. I'm in the middle of a heavily modded Morrowind playthrough as well. So that's not helping. And now someone released a new awesome patch for Thief 1/2 and System Shock 2, which makes me want to play SS2 again.

I've never had this problem. (that might be because I've always found time to play, without a full time job eating away my free time).

Also, sticking to one platform instead of two (or three+) limits the amount of great games :P

If I understood the topic right: to post games I haven't finished and need to finish at some point (as in, waiting to get time to do so), not a single game.

My backlog isn't too bad but worse than usual. Been a really busy summer.

I haven't finished Assassin's Creed 2 nor have I played the next installments. AC 3 is on the way and I need to get to gettin'.

I recommend you play Hitman: Blood Money. Soo much fun! Oh and when you think the game is over, it's not. Remember that.

It's pretty much nothing. I don't really play games that have an "end", but occasionally I play a singleplayer game. If a game is good, I'll finish it. If it's not, I stop playing and don't feel any need revisit it.

That is pretty much my backlog for now. It's really demotivating.

Pretty bad. I've barely scratched the surface on Sacred 2, Two Worlds II, Divinity 2 Dragon Knight Saga, Lord of the Rings Online, Gothic III, Torchlight, Titan Quest and the original Witcher. I've got a free copy of Batman Arkham City that I've never even downloaded. I've stopped buying games - its getting ridiculous.
