How do I calibrate a new monitor

Post » Fri May 24, 2013 8:03 pm

Yes this should go int he tech thread but stuff tends to get lost there. I just got an ASUS VE248 and for some reason I cannot seem to get the color right. I aactually bought it a couple weeks ago but had to RMA it due to ghostin. Is there a best practice for getting ti calibrated? I do also know that being LED it will be brighter than my older Samsung LCD panel and I am using HDMI which may give me better color. But any suggestion to get the best picture possible?
