I can't play the game because of the enforced Patch #1. Since it's already been 2 months and no Patch #2 available, I want to return the game and get my money back. All of it. I'm tired of waiting for nothing to happen. I bought the game in the store, they won't give me my money and moreover, the game is half the price now. Even if they would give me my money, I wouldn't get it all. So I've been pirated for my money by Bethesda / id. Who do I have to turn to for a full refund?

If it's a console copy, there should be no problems returning it.
But you cannot return the Steam copy, as that is a part of the licensing Terms of Conditions which one must agree with before installing.

I actually thought AMD would have fixed the driver issue prior to my return for refund deadline............WRONG !!!

Really, responsibility is on AMD to fix their driver at this stage, because that's where the problem is. If you want money back ask AMD for it.

So why does the game have problems with me an Nvidia user? I have no idea what those new drivers were for though they made every one of my games worse, crashed constantly and completely wrecked my computer for a few days and forced a friend of mine to completely replace his mobo. Actually made the texture loading worse than before for me with this game.

We would have to know what hardware your running to try and answer that question.
I have all kind of Nvida video cards, from 6600GT, 2x8800gt, 2x8800GTS, 3xGTX260, GTX295 & 2xGTX480.
I haven't tested the game with all of those but if i have a card like yours I could test to see if I can help.
I seriously doubt a video card driver caused anyone to loose a motherboard, most likely they had other problems to start with.

Edit: "I forgot" never mind I see we have already talked, your just a hater of the game or have other problems with your setup.
There is no way a GTX560 should have problems running this game, clear out any old rageconfig.cfg, do clean of video drivers
turn off SLI are just a few things I would do in your case. If seta was used in a config for settings those they will have to be reset.
So a clean install of the game would be best. Uninstall then check if all was removed, delete anything the uninstall missed for Rage in the stream folder.
Starting New/clean for everything, game Rage and video drivers. Game should run fine with little to no changes after a clean install with the patch update & 285.62 WHQL.

Looks like your biggest problem is you need to grow up a little, if you can't take a little constructed criticism I can see why you have problems.
Can't help someone with a poor attitude and a piss pour out look on life in general. A mod/admin can remove these post if they see fit.

Most likely because of something you're doing yourself. You may be overclocking, you may be trying to force settings in your NVIDIA control panel, you may be trying to max it out on hardware that's not able to run it maxed out, but whatever it is, it's not likely to be a game and/or driver problem. The vast majority of NVIDIA users have had no problems whatsoever with running the game.

i'm an nvidia user, so i don't care whatever problems amd has. moreover the game runs great for me. but i can't play it because of the f*ing bobbing they enforced with patch #1. i bought the game after everyone said that you could disable bobbing. and so you could with the retail version, i could play just fine. now with patch #1 enforced i'm about to puke every 10-15 minutes. i can't play the game at all.

Can't you disable show gun, so its not seen, seems that would help some with seeing the bobbing less?
I to sometimes get a dizzy feeling with the bobbing myself.

unfortunately it's the bouncing/shaking of the view that causes the motion sickness for me. couldn't play wolfenstein either, you couldn't disable bobbing at all in wolfenstein. for rage i waited until i knew for sure that you could disable bobbing. who would have guessed that id enforces bobbing afterwards.

why do you guys suggest to the OP that he shall start tweakig cfg files, writing page long codes or use 3rd party apps to even make it playable, he payed money so zenimax's subserviants do that for him, i mean every google search that turns up gives me a three to four pages long introduction to the many many problems of this game before starting a scientific excourse on how to fix it... ...once i made my phd in fixing coding i guess

so his demand for money back is totally valid... stop defending publishers who dont let their devs do their work, they wont give you a cookie for it anyway!

The following command must be added to the shortcut you use to launch the game, or to Steam's Launch Options, in order to enable the console in-game:

+set com_allowConsole 1

pm_nobob --- turns off head bob and weapon sway

Didn't really seem to work or I couldn't tell.
This did seem to help: cvarAdd pm_thirdperson 1 : third person view: but I haven't checked it to see if it works in the patched version.
I un-patched rage on one of my rigs for testing and cvarAdd pm_thirdperson 1 :does work. But use at your own risk because I haven't found a way to undo the 3rd person view.
I also tested: "cvarAdd pm_runspeed 1200" who needs a car when you can move this fast!
