how can i improve frame rate with an ENB?

hey guys, i have a really nice ENB installed onto skyrim and currently it runs fine. However when im roaming about outside i can feel a drop in frame rate... its not horrible its... noticable and it kinda annoys me after a while.

i tried to see if lowering the quality of the game from high to medium would resolve it but its the exact same... even when i went on low, there was no change in frame rate. its the exact same no matter what quality preset i put it on.
Is there any way i can improve the frame rate while roaming around outside? i have tweaked around with the view/render distance too but thats not doing any justice too... its just staying at this annoyting slightly lower frame rate!

my specs are:
GTX 660ti
intel core i5 2500k
8GB RAM

its not a consuming ENB too, my rig handles it very smoothly in cities, in caves and other indoor places... its just outside fields and other distances that seems to be its shortfall.

any mods to improve performance for this too?

thanks

recently i got told to lower ssao quality and disable sky lighting but i can't find any of these options anywhere? any help?
