Google FRAPS, download that...

Some games have in game console commands..not sure if Skyrim does..I use FRAPS, even though I hate it because the number is so big and you can't change it's appearance.

Wait so I have to have FRAPS just to show fps? That's new...
It wasn't like that for FO3, MW or OB as far as I know.

It would be strange if Skyrim just stopped and didn't have any fps command. Things like that are pretty essential.

If the other games had a console command for it, Skyrim probably does..but I don't know what it is ;)

There's gotta be one... it would be so strange otherwise. Anyone who knows... feel free to tell the console command.

I tweeted Pete and asked for what it is. I hope he answers quickly...

I looked but all people say is FRAPS.

It is likely the same as it was in the past games...but I don't remember what it was. Try showfps ;) Is there even a console in Skyrim? I never tried to open it...I am at work right now so can't test anything.

You could try http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Debug_Text. It is in the list of Skyrim console commands, but I have no idea if it works.

you can use fraps but I don't like running it. scan through the ini and look for showfps 0 or something like that

Yes there is a console, opened with "~" as usual.

Fraps has the advantage that it can be used for games without a console as well. So as I use it on other games as well there is no harm. At least I hope so :D
