How come everyone can walk faster than me but run slower tha

It's kind of annoying. When I'm following an NPC, for example right at the start of the game where you follow Hadvar or Ralof to Riverwood. When they're running, if you run with them then you overtake because they run slower, so you have to keep stopping to let them catch up. But then, when they're walking and you try to walk with them, they walk faster so you fall behind and have to keep running in bursts to keep up. It doesn't make much sense and makes it hard to roleplay.

I don't know about PS3 or PC, but on X360 you can control your speed of walking/running depending on how much you press on the control stick... it's not like there's only walking and running pace. Try fiddling with it.

Yep, works on PS3 as well.

Yes, ridiculously so IMO. My first playthrough I ran everywhere because I couldn't stand the plodding pace of the vanilla walk speed. I'm a 'fast walker' generally in real life and in first person view I felt like I was barely moving. Once I started modding the game that was one of the first things I changed along with adding the mod noted in my previous post. The combination made the game infinitely more playable for me.

I guess it's like this so you have a chance to run away when things get a bit too hairy for you.
