How DO I Create a Race of Amazons with the CK?

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 7:32 pm

Hi everyone!

Foremost, I am new to the creation. Therefore, how would I get started creating an Amazon Race of females? Although I can not remember its name there is a book in Skyrim that speaks of an all women race. Therefore, it would be rather lore friendly. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Rightly so, but I have no idea how to begin to generate a character let alone try and Fix Lydia the way I want her, for example. For my ineptness it isn't all that straight forward. If I try to recreate her and others in the NPC Editor by "foretrenty'" the game crashes at the load screen. And, without a Load Order utility it takes hours to figure it out. BOSS just doesn't do it: at least for me anyway.

Ok, well, you've confused me. Or yourself. Or both. :P

Did you want to create a new race or do you just want to edit Lydia?

Specifically, the http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Tutorials section. Especially the bendo creating bit for (most of) what you want to achieve.

But following the whole lot in order is highly recommended (especially because how it teaches you one way to set things up, then a few tutorials down the line it teaches you the right way you should have done it  :P). They give you a good foundation knowledge of the various areas of the ck and how they all work together, perhaps you'll end up liking one of them more then the rest and start "specialising" but it's still worth at least knowing how your work will fit into the the bigger picture.

After that, when you have a question, have a quick little search before posting. This forum is slowly but surely becoming a huge treasure trove of snippets of good modding habits. You just need to do a little digging. :)

Have fun and good luck!

EDIT: Also, YouTube has quite a few tutorial videos. Just search "Creation Kit"
