What do you think?
I think this is the only practical way to handle the MMO on a console controller. I don't want to have to awkwardly thumb throughout my skills, I want all of them accessible at a push of a button in combat. Maybe it could be accommodated for smoother interaction, however I like the idea of having optimal functionality present through the four d-pad options. Maybe have square be draw weapon instead? I'm not sure about that.
But I like that RP'ers could have a set up making their interaction run faster on a console. I think of the "scan" feature to be like "right-clicking" to get some more details. Highlight the object, if it's an ingredient it'll show you how much you have discovered about that. If it's an enemy it will bring up quick stats you have discovered for that monster type. In PVP it could tell you the faction/ class/ level (if applicable???)/ current weapon equipped. That way someone could take the position of scout on the walls and call out healers etc. as we will not be able to tell that information simply by their armor any more.
