so a folder on my usb stick has apparently overwritten all data in it with 100 copies of an image from another folder on it ...

every time i hit delete folder it says its deleted but my recycling bin remains empty and the folder doesn't go away

ive tried manually deleteing the contents with in and same thing

soo do i need to bu ya new usb and toss this one in a fire ?

Have you tried taking off anything you want to keep and then reformatting the stick?

Brute force with heavy objects works best in these situations.

I just tried making a new folder shoving the undeletable one in it and then deleting the new folder

that seemed to work but after about a minute i took the usb stick out of my computer and stuck it back in

my computer promtped me to scan it and fix any errors which i let it

I lost 5 pictures from my sisters wedding + everythign that was in the folder prior to this corruption ... and I cant locate a folder called "found" like it said I would ...

and now i am annoyed and sad because i cant get those pictures back

Considering the average amount of pictures taken at a wedding is like... 5000, I wouldn't be too sad.
