How to disable controller vibration? : Fallout: New Vegas

Anyone know of a way to disable xbox360 controller vibration?? The in-game option doesn't seem to do anything, and as my wired controller is hooked up through about 15 meters of Cat5 to my TV in another room the controller disconnects whenever vibration occurs.

Try using the traditional PC control method of Keyboard & Mouse.

However, if you disable your vibration, you will not be able to tell when the Battle Cattle are stampeding.

There should be a place to disable to it in the configuration options in the control panel .

Nope nothing...

Anyone else?? Or should I just crack open the controller at this point and pull the power plugs from the rumble motors?? (lame)
