How does armor work in TESO?

Leaving this quote here for reference:
Each armor type has a full progression line associated with it. If you advance down the light armor progression line, you are likely to get bonuses to spells, magicka regeneration, and the like. Medium armor skill lines give you more bonuses to stamina activities such as dodge, sneak, etc. Heavy armor skill lines give bonuses to received healing, bracing, etc. And, of course, armor can have magical properties beyond this, and you may wish to mix and match as you see fit.
Taken from Ask Us Anything Q&A a few days ago: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1448991-ask-us-anything-combat-qa/

So it seems pretty clear the there's light, medium, and heavy armor, and it would be pretty safe to assume light = cloth, medium = leather etc. heavy = plate. Does that bother anyone, especially those who have played Morrowind? I can't wrap myself around the idea that light armor means something other than glass, elven, hide, leather etc, and that medium is bonemold, dreugh etc. Heavy armor seems relatively untouched, but the fundamental TES lore in being broken in conversion to MMOs.

Assuming there are definite answers to armor:

Is light, medium, and heavy armor the official naming for these, and where would glass fit in this equation, medium or light? Will robes be apart of light along with glass, or seperate to it (mainly using glass as an example, but I do care for it more than most other light armor types).

With as much knowledge as I've already gathered over the past weeks, I haven't found an answer, so assuming all of this is yet again unconfirmed and speculation:

What do you think light, medium, and heavy will represent armor wise?
Which armor types do you think will remain relatively untouched, and which will be moved around?
Which armor types will you be upset at if they are indeed moved to a armor type you aren't used to?

Also as this pertains to the orignial question, if you want you can speculate about how the armor trees will work. What perks do you think we'll see?
