How does this game compare to the rest of the game?

is it short and boring? or is it longer than the vanilla game?

what does the troll that was mentioned during e3 do ?

im unlikely to get this DLC until Skyrim goes GOTY and even then not till 6 months till a year after so spoil me all you want don't care :D

how many new shouts does DLC come with ? just the 1 that svcks souls (is it the equivalent of soul trap or is it something better?)

and about the dragon seen in the trailer breaking through the ice what was this about?

10 hours for both sides, radiant quests for both sides not included into time so pretty long.

Armored troll is a companion.

Theres a couple new shouts.

New types of dragons, revered and legendary.

I dont know how many new shouts there are,I have found 2. but this dlc isnt about dragon shouts :) and the dragon breaking trhough the ice? its actually 2 dragons! And its amazing,And i dont know why they do that,They just do that. It was a really epic fight.
And well depends how you play it,it could be short,It could be long,For me it took about 17 hours to complete. But i still have side quests and other stuff to do. And i actually think the quests of dawnguard is much better then the vanilla quests. And its not boring,You will find many intresting stuff.

It is definitely shorter than the vanilla game but, I feel, was well worth the money paid. You get out of it what you put into it. If you run through it without exploring and doing everything you can be done in a matter of hours. There are new areas and new quests that, if explored correctly, you can get much more than 20 hours out of the DLC.

The armored troll, in my opinion, isn't much better than one of the dog companions. A nice thing to try once but won't get another one after that.

There are two new shouts which are both cool in their own way. One shout summons a helper and the other is like a buffed up Marked for Death!!

The dragons breaking through the ice is an experience you really need to wait for. Try not to spoil it for yourself. I knew that it was coming but it still had my heart racing!!

When I went on that calm plain ice Serana said 'Does this feel unstable to you' or 'I don't feel safe walking on the ice' next second a Dragon smashed out.

Its a long (not in the good way) dungeon crawl.

It introduces bugs and begins shopkeeper genocide.

It is more or less the same. If you didn't enjoy Skyrim, then Dawnguard may not hold much for you. (This is of course with the Vampire Lord transformation, and the new dragon types.)
