How do falmers shoot arrows?

Do they have some kind of super sixth sense or something? They are blind. How can they aim?

Little known fact, Daredevil was actually a Dwemer that felt bad about the plight his people forced on the Falmer. So he trained them in blind-fu.

That's like asking how bats catch bugs.

Ok, not exactly like that, as the Falmer don't emit a sound and listen for it to bounce off an enemy, but it's similar. Since their brains aren't distracted by having to interpret sensory information from their eyes, it can focus more processing power on their other senses, including hearing. Thus, they can determine with great accuracy the location of an enemy just by the sounds they're making. This is also why it's very easy to sneak around a Falmer lair with boots of Muffle. They're out of luck if you aren't making noise.

I discussed this a while ago on a similar thread, first I thought echolocation or some similar biological sonar ability...

But I'd put my money on magic.

A better question is that why do they wear clothing that covers their man parts? They can't see them, why do they care? :P

A better question still is how can the player character aim arrows whilst wearing a falmer helm?

I just imagined your avatar coming out of a dark space, saying that, and then skulking back into the shadows.

For some reason, this thread made me think of http://i2.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/000/243/howdoishotweb.jpg.

Anyway, it's probably http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_echolocation as mentioned above.

I've NEVER seen a bat fire an arrow.
Why, only yesterday a spelunker appeared on local TV with a story about an unpremediated bat attack. Seems the bat attacked with a bow and arrow. Arrows whizzed past his ears, he told the reporter, as he scrambled to get out of the cave. He almost lost his life, he claimed. The experience, he says, has turned him into a bow-control advocate. Something needs to be done about these roving gangs of bats armed with bows and arrows, he told the reporters. Before we know it they'll be coming out of those caves and endangering the lives of innocent citizens.

True story.

Ok, if falmer use echo-location, then why do they never find me?

The answer: Dovakin stealth technology armor. (ebony?)

I'm sure in the lore sneaking would be near useless against them. But in the game they act like any other enemy when you use sneak mode.

See I thought maybe saw on a wavelength that didn't involve visible light - but then you wouldn't be able to sneak...

What ever the falmer use to navigate through their surroundings.
It must svck.... a lot.
Sneaking through Falmer infested caves is easy as pie.

Videogame logic..... do not ask why, just accept it.

By sound and smell. Falmer are always found underground where it's much easier to detect sound. There are examples in our own real world where blind monks/martial artists shoot bows accurately as well.
