How far are they going.......

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:36 am

DO NOT Get me wrong...I love my games dark and dark themes have been always part of the elder scrolls!....But how far are they taking it?

Firstly they give you the option to engage in group cannibalism!
Second there is a murder case in whiterun were someones killing young woman and these woman Have bloody Cuts all over them...
third there are now public executions
You can really torture people this time......
And there's numerous other examples
I dont mind this personally but how far do you think they have gone?

Its definitely what I would call "gritty"

The same way game of thrones is gritty compared to lord of the rings.

I like it.

I would agree, honestly I think it makes the world more believable.

Agreed. All these things simply lend to the realism of a world, regardless of how dark/gritty they are. my hype meter was +10 after I saw the beheading, because it made the world all that more believable, especially for Skyrim.

What's funny is I consider torture far far more graphic than that, not that I think the game needs it.

It's realism. I like it. It's supposed to be an immersive game after all.

its as fitting to the current situation tamriel is in and the province the game is in as a horned helmet and an axe is to a barbarian.

Actually horned helmets weren't ever actually used. They're just a glamorous semi-modern myth. I suppose that misses your point though.

Not dark enough! I demand this game contain sadomasobeastinecrophila! Also waterboarding!

In all serious yeah it's dark but it works for the game world.
