How I Fixed My Freezing Problem

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 4:10 pm

so far my game has frozen during the Diplomatic Immunity quest as i say im ready lets go and about to board the carriage, and also during the Mind of Madness daedric quest when i reach the part of the hallway where i should be teleported into the level (or the mind i should say lol) and both times i have ejected the disc and let the ps3 restart that way rather than a hard power off then restart and then reloaded the game. i would then go to 1 of my houses or anywhere that items can be stored and would dump my entire inventory except asolutely essential items. both times it worked first try. i have about 220/610 carry weight, so its not alot but it is alot of small low weight items that would probablly add up to over 100 items the game needs to process to come with me. wanted to share in case it could help anyone else get through a tough moment!

Finished most of the questlines. The main, the companions, the thieves guild, civil war, and recently the dark brotherhood. I have so much items in this one big chest box back at my house in Whiterun. Most of them are enchanted items. I was wondering if I disenchant them or at least sell them to the merchants in the Thieves guild, there might be less lag but definitely won't go away. However, the disenchanting is kinda weird for me. When I disenchant an item that has 80% magic resistance, it would give me 8% magic resistance instead. Is this a bug or does it just gives me that way in order to build it up by disenchanting effects similar to it? Anywho, going to disenchant anyways. Those items have got to go.

This isn't a glitch. The strength of the enchantment you can put on an item is determined by your Enchanting skill level. When you disenchant an item, you only learn the base enchantment (ie: if you disenchant an item that fortifies Block by 21%, you learn the Fortify Block Enchantment; when you go to enchant an item with it, your Enchanting skill will determine how much it fortifies for).

indeed. ya i previously had all my items organized, like books on shelves, clothes in wardrobes, and then just same category stuff in the same container. But then my PS3 died and I lost that game (140+ hours gameplay logged, character level 50) so now this new game im kinda doing like you said and just throwing EVERYTHING into one chest, or safe or whatever. Which reminds me, i wish they would add some sort of like "Drop All" or "Store All" option like the "Take All" option when unloading a chest, cause it would make storing and unloading waaaay faster. but i suppose they have bigger things to worry about fixing/changing at the moment lol.
