So I have a follower who is a bit better with one handed than two handed. I want them to be better with two handed. if I give them a two handed weapon to use, I expect after 10 level ups they would be. But I do not think that is the case.

Does anyone know how followers progress in skills? I notice my elf being way better at sneaking after 10 levels than my nord, even though we all sneak together. The nord seems stuck at 15.

Also, do all followeres have the basic heal and flame spell? Why would one follower use heal on themselves while others do not? Any place that explains followere mechanics?

Just trying to better manage my posse so any help would be appreciated.

Skills level based on the follower's http://www.creationkit.com/Class--see the section on Skill Weight at the bottom of the page. If you want the follower to level differently, you'd need to change their class to either another of the other default classes, or create your own class and assign it to the follower in the Creation Kit.
