How to force cells to reset?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:11 am

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to force a cell (or even all outdoor cells) to reset, without having to wait 72 hours. I tired PurgeCellBuffers but that didn't work.

Thanks!

No need to create two threads for this.

Fire up the GECK and go to Settings. Find...

iHoursToRespawnCell = 72

...and change it to anything you like. 72 means three ingame days aka 72 hours. Smaller numbers lower the chance for savegame corruptions, but also stresses your CPU. I'm going with 12 hours.

Thanks! I was hoping for a quick console command, but that works too, since I wanted to do that anyway :) Does lowering that also make traders' inventory rotate faster/slower?
