How to get a Dwarven crossbow?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 3:40 pm

I have done the quest that sorine asks you to do, but I can still not create or buy those crossbows. I have tried to enter the crossbow code via console command, but for some reason it is not working. I am typing: "player.additem xx00b647 1"" (I have also tried without the x's"). For some reason I can never get DLC items via the console, but other items are added fine... Any help?

Thanks!

You did the quest to get the schematics for the Dwemer Crossbow for Sorine and she has none for sale? How high is your smithing? Do you have the Dwarven smithing Perk? I found that I can only smith those crossbows and the exploding bolts at the DG forge. I can forge regular bolts at any forge though.

and the xx of the item code is just a placeholder. You need to replace it with the first two digits of the DLC load order ID, like 01 or 02, whatever load order DG is showing up in your data folder. You can check that when you start your game.

Thanks! I am smiting at the DG forge, and I have also got the schematics, but I will now add it via console command. Thank you!

Tip for item ID's: you should type in help "item name" and you will get some lines with everything in game that contains that name, it's ID, and the type of object (be it item or NPC or effect...etc), better than memorizing the ID's or Alt tabbing between game and wiki.

For example, if you type help "wabbajack" you get something like ITEM_ "wabbajack" 002ac6f
