Hi

I was approached by the legion on the strip many levels ago and they invited me to the fort by means of cottonwood cove. Now when I get there, there is this dude, Cursor Lucullus, who is kinda cocky and my gun, well it glitches some times, and well he got blasted in the face and the quest to the fort failed. Now that didnt bother me much since I was playing this character against the legion and I had no intention of seeing ceasar really until I was good and ready to kill him. However, now I cant find another way into the Fort. I assumed there would be no problem since I actually could kill the guy, and not just make him unconcious.

So, my questions boils down to: is there another way into the fort? Or can I reset the quest by using console somehow, read that you could but not how.

you can activate the square wooden boat/plank he stands next to and it will take you to the Fort

This. Follow the quest arrow and click on the pier/ground where he would have been. You'll be able to tell when you found the right spot.
