You sell it to the orc at the Mage College in the Arcaneum. He gives you like 2000 g for it.

If you already finished the main quest and sold it, pretty sure you are stuck with it now.

I've completed the Dawnguard questline, but not done the Elder knowledge quest yet, and i can sell them to Dexion for 6000 gold, will he give me the dragon scrolls when i need it for the quest?

I currently have all three Elder Scrolls. Can't get the option with Dexion or the Orc to buy them back from me. They weigh 20 each and yes it really is taking up the space.

they still count as quest items for me so they dont way anything

Taking up three slots in your inventory is hardly a hardship, if you check you will see they weigh nothing, remove everything you are carrying and you are not going to be carrying an extra 60 just because you got stuck with the scrolls. Only the Dawnguard can sell them back to Dexion, my Vampire character has yet to find anyone who would take the new scrolls.

I completed Dawnguard the right way, (Dawnguard way)....

I think i'll just go and take the steed stone.

They don't have mass, no quest items don't affect your carry capacity.

Urag will buy the dragon scroll of you once after the main quest is complete, he does not buy the other two. So if you want to get rid of all three scrolls it would be best to do Dawnguard before selling the dragon scroll to Urag.
