How to get someone to stop attacking you

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 12:16 pm

I accidently attacked a friendly character. How do I get him to calm down so I can finish the quest?

I'm on a PC. does anyone know the stopcombat skyrim equivalent.

Have you tried yielding by lowering your hands/weapons ?

If that doesn't work try raising them up again and lowering them again, sometimes it doesn't seem to register the first time around.

If you're still not out of combat... well I guess you can just wait for someone to come with the console command, I don't know it personally.

What button does that? Do you mean sheathing in front of him? because that didn't work.

Yes, sheathing, if that doesn't work then I guess the NPC is pretty intent on killing you. Hopefully someone who knows the console command for stopping combat can help you. If no one knows you could try to use "kill" and then "resurrect" in the console to see if that resets the NPC without messing up the quest.

I think if it's like fallout you can leave town or the area your in for a few days, things should be fine after that. If not then I'm not sure.

Ohh well. I loaded the autosave before I attacked him. Still gotta kill everyone I killed to get to him, however.
