Hey, I just got the game today so I'm not quite accustomed to the game yet, but
Im vilified by the Powder Gangers because I did a quest where i had to fight a lot of them to protect this guy
called Ringo but I'd like to use their Prison for somewhere to sleep etc.... Is there any kind of way/ quest i can use to get them not to hate me again?

nope vilified lasts forever, kinda svcks, you can only get it back up to mixed.

How?

Oh ya at the start of the game Ringo ,it sets you up for quest later on so its good to do that one and help Ringo.
Much later in the north east of the game their is a cave with vault 19 inside where you can do a quest for the powder gamgers to get on their good side ,also mush earlier in the game near Nepton you can do a quest to save the captured powder gangers from the legion which boots your rep with them.
Its also a good idea to stay away from the powder gangers in the wast and not fight them even thou they will attack you ,just run away without fighting them and you'll stay on their good side.

Powder gangers are scum anyways.
Personally I kill anything that either wears a skirt or dresses like a convict/prison guard lol

They pose a limited threat to an early level player due to their dynamite. Beyond that, they are an annoyance.

Also sense its early in the game and you already messed up with them ,start a new game.
I messed up with them the first time i played and was shot on sight when I got to the prison.
Its early so a new game with what you learned will fix it up.

i'm almost 100% positive all you need to do to raise your faction back up with the powder gangers is to visit the Atomic Wrangler bar in freeside, do a quest for the owner (the male one) and after that he should like you enough to where all you need to do is pay some caps to get back in their good graces. I've bought faction once from him just to test it out, so i'm not sure how high you can go.

Protip: Stop killing them.
