I'm not going to lie, I was hoping to be visited by the Outsider in prison or in the sewers like in the trailer. The wake up in oblivion plane to meet him is like, ok I've spent over half an hour making my way through the sewers before I actually acquire my main tool. It just seems like a let down to me, since the trailer was so cool, and to see the game didn't mirror that suddenness was like oh ok I guess it's time to finally time to get my super natural powers, seeing that water is flowing up

Also those arc pylons are [censored] I can't blink my way around the periphery of them its like what the hell how can it shock what isn't there?


Other than that I'm loving the game, it's a different thing, and some of the heart secrets have made me choke up before ending a man.

And you made it out of that prison and through the sewers just fine on your own, did you not? You receive the tools you need when you need them. It might not have been as exciting or "magical" as you expected, but.....I mean....have you played any other Bethesda games? I just don't think having to rely on a little ingenuity for half an hour isn't something to come here and complain about.

Also, there are dozens, probably hundreds, of games and movies out there that differ in some way from their respective trailers. If anything, trailers are more hype than promise. Try not to base all of your expectations on that alone.

My cardinal rule of game hype, if its pre-rendered, it ain't gonna happen in game.

I get what your saying I thought the same thing. But it wasn't an upset when you get your powers in later in the game it's like Christmas well for me anyway. So who cares if they depicted the trailer and game different. I LOVE THIS GAME!
