How great this game really is?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 1:59 am

To be honest I am a huge gamer, and I have played a number of video games throughout my entire life, but Skyrim in all honesty is the GREATEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED!!!!! This game has redefined the meaning of the word epic. I would honestly recommend this game to literally anyone because I believe in some way shape or form any person in this world that does not even play video games can seriously find a redeeming quality somewhere throughout the magnificent landscape of Skyrim. My hat is off to you Bethesda you really went somewhere with this one. :tops:

I agree. Skyrim is the greatest game ever made. Thank you, Bethesda!

Another vote of agreement here. Lots of folks like to voice their discontent vehemently, but if you're a fan of the two genres to which this game can be centrally ascribed - Sandbox/open-world, and Fantasy... you will not find a better done combination. Imperfections may exist and design choices that vary from what they've previously done may really annoy long-term fans of the series (of which I am one), but even with all that, it's a GREAT GAME.

Right on man!

Beth isn't trying to make an "RPG". They're trying to make an epic fantasy world that ANYONE can approach and play however they want.

And they did.

It ranks almost besides Morrowind and I think it might one day equal it. Which is in my opinion a massive feat. I feel that Bethesda has done an amazing job of creating a unique feel to this world. It is rich and varied and this series is back on track.

My two major complaints are.

1. Lack of spell creation, and the lack in power of destruction.
2. Bugs!!!

Other than that this game series has taken the series in the right direction in terms to the game universe and how unique and interesting the land is. :tes:

It's pretty good. Solid seven or eight out of ten. Probably the best game this year. Still doesn't compare to Morrowind or Daggerfall, though.

What are these bugs people are so annoyed with? I've only seen minor things like textures popping out and I got stuck in a rock once, nothing game breaking.

Honestly after playing Morrowind and then Fallout 3, I really wondered if Bethesda was going to come thru with Skyrim.

This is an awesome game. I was honestly worried about buying this game and then when I installed it I pondered how good it was going to be.

It really is a good game, but it has bugs. The bugs aren't major on my end, I have 2 broken quests so far.

but fallout NV had tons of buggie quests that I never could finish and I honestly just gave the game away. (yes I know Bethesda only supervised that stuff)

All in all it is a good game, Hope they patch it soon, and hope the CK comes out soon.

I just got the game and I've played it for hours at a time without a single bug or CTD. Not even a whisper a trouble.

It is a great game and worth every penny.

But I, too, will be thrilled when the CK comes out - hopefully before the end of the year.

Game crashes across all platforms.

Items flying everywhere.

Shout glitch where the one shout that disarms, it disarms you.

Texture glitch.

Disappearing water.

NPCs merging with walls.

Quest bugs, that render quest useless.

There is a few bugs, if you play any Bethesda title you expect them, I just wish they was taken care of...

Love this game but it has ruined real life.

I have been for walks in the countryside and can't help thinking Bethesda do better environments than god.

Thankfully we don't have Ice Trolls though.

Ya, this game is really good. Lots of bugs but I'm kinda used to that with TES. The world is amazing and IMO blows Oblivion and all its mods/DLC combined out of the water.
