I know how to add weapons and items to the favorite menu and then assign hotkeys to them.

It works just fine in these cases;

Bringing out a 2H
Bringing out a 1H
Bringing out a 1H + Shield
Bringing out a 1H + Spell
Pulling out two Spells (dual casting).
Bringing out a 1H + 1H (dual wielding) ... IF both main hand and offhand is the same weapon (ie. Steel Swords).

This is the problem though..

If I am dual wielding a Dagger+Sword... then bring up the healing spell in offhand to heal myself.... I can't put a weapon in the offhand again.

What happens if I click the hotkey for the dagger for offhand? ... It puts the dagger in the main hand. What happens if I click the Sword then? It puts the Sword in the main hand.... and all the time it just keeps the spell in offhand.

I tried doubleclicking the hotkey... doesn't work.
I tried to figure out some way to hotkey the actual combination of Sword+Dagger... doesn't work.

So, is there any way whatsoever (besides opening inventory or favourite list) to place a weapon in the offhand again after using a spell?

This is really frustrating And no, I don't really want to play with same weapon in both hands.

someone made the same post today. i had the same problem.

solved it through enchanting of one weopon with something silly to change the name of the weapon. then it worked.

How does changing the name of the weapon help?

If both weapons have the same name, like a Steel Sword, then I can press hotkey once to put it in mainhand... and press same hotkey a second time will put the 2nd Steel Sword in the offhand.

It's when I have two different weapons, or two different names, I can't put the weapon in the offhand if the offhand is empty or holding a spell...

I press 1 for Steel Sword = Places sword in mainhand.

I press 2 for Steel Dagger = Places dagger in mainhand.

I press 1 again for Sword = Places sword in mainhand.

And the offhand remains empty, or holding spell........

Am I missing something?

there is nothing you can do as far as I know, the favorite/hotkey system is completly broken for dual wielding and apparently it will be many weeks before we see a patch.
